We present to you the results of a population survey as part of the annual Trust Rating(from 2022 the rating will be quarterly)
A total of 3,000 respondents (distributed by region in proportion to the population) aged 18 and over were surveyed. The survey was conducted anonymously online in November-December of this year.
The key findings of the survey are as follows:
1. 68.5% of the population trusts the President. Over 2 years, the figure has grown by 7.3% (60.8% in 2019), despite the pandemic and other circumstances.
2. The population trusts the President more than the regional akims. Almaty, East Kazakhstan region and Shymkent show the greatest lag in the level of trust in the President (more than 27%).
3. The population of the northern regions and Atyrau trusts the President the most:
- Kostanay (81.6%);
- Pavlodar (77.1%);
- Atyrau (75.2%);
- Akmola (75.0%;
- North Kazakhstan (74.1%).
The lowest (unexpectedly!) level of trust is demonstrated by Astana (55.9%) and Almaty (58.7%).
4. The residents of Kostanay (72.8%), Pavlodar (67.8%) and North Kazakhstan (64.7%) regions trust the akim of their region the most, and the least are residents of Almaty (31.5%), Shymkent (37.9%) and Nur-Sultan (39.3%).
