We present to you the second edition of the Rating of Regions of Kazakhstan - for the 1st quarter of 2021. The rating is focused on conducting an objective assessment of the activities of local executive bodies
The methodology, calculation data, number of indicators and the calculation itself have not changed. In the current issue, 10 out of 20 indicators have been updated, including 9 quarterly and 1 annual.

As in the previous issue, none of the regions could score 100 points. Atyrau Region retained 1st place, scoring almost 75 points. North Kazakhstan Region is in 2nd place, having jumped 6 positions at once compared to the previous quarter. Nur-Sultan City closes the top three, having improved its position by 1 place. Aktobe Region dropped from 2nd place to 4th. Pavlodar Region is in 5th place, having risen from 6th place. Zhambyl Region follows, having risen 3 positions in the rating. Almaty City, which closed the top 3 in the previous issue, closes the top 7.
The public version of the Rating provides data on the first 7 regions for each indicator. Data on the remaining regions will be provided only to regional leaders for further internal analysis. This is done to ensure a constructive perception of the rating.
