We present to your attention the Rating of regions of Kazakhstan for the 4th quarter of 2020
The main objective of the Rating is to conduct an objective assessment of the activities of local executive bodies in the socio-economic sphere. The Rating includes 20 indicators (11 annual and 5 quarterly), which are divided into 5 sections:

1. Education
2. Health care
3. Stimulation of socio-economic activity
4. Quality of life
5. Quality of public administration

Data for calculating the indicators are taken from open sources, including:
- Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- Local executive bodies
- Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan
- Portal "Open Dialogue"
The indicators have different weights depending on the frequency, importance and influence of akimats. The total weight of annual and quarterly indicators is 50 points. The maximum score for a region is 100 points.

The Rating is being calculated for the first time, and this time it is published for the 4th quarter of 2020, and will be published regularly as new data for the next quarter is released.

According to the Rating, none of the regions could score 100 points. The maximum score (almost 76 points) was shown by Atyrau region. Also in the top 7 were Aktobe region (2nd place), Almaty (3rd), Nur-Sultan (4th), Karaganda region (5th), Pavlodar region (6th), East Kazakhstan region (7th place).

You will also find data on each indicator in the Rating. It also provides data on the Top 7 regions.

The Rating provides public data on the first 7 regions. The data of the remaining regions will be provided only to the heads of regions for further internal analysis. This is done in order to ensure a constructive perception of the rating.

We have selected the most important indicators for the Rating from among those for which statistical measurements are conducted. The Rating may be slightly adjusted in the future depending on the identification of more important indicators.
We hope that the Rating will allow an objective assessment of the work of akimats and will allow the regions themselves to more effectively organize work on lagging indicators.
