Olzhas Khudaibergenov, CSI Senior Partner, shared his expert opinion:"The production output at Kashagan will vary from 7 to 13 million tons per year within the next three years, which can be easily removed from the available routes.
Further production growth will require other areas, which are not ready technically. Those are to China through "Kenkyak - Alashankou" and to Azerbaijan through "Eskine - Kuryk". In connection with the start of production, the intensive talks resumed again on Azerbaijani pipeline, but construction of pipeline is required. Further stretching to Baku is unlikely, since it is easier to use tankers. In general, the question is the funding of the project, the construction will commence only after the issue to be solved.
Oil production at Kashagan will be large, which will require capacity of all directions for transportation".
